RESEARCH INTERESTS

His research interests include vaccine policy, infectious disease epidemiology, clinical trials, implementation research, disease burden estimation, mathematical modelling, health economic evaluation, and systematic reviews as follows:

  1. Vaccine-preventable diseases and immunization policy, including typhoid fever, rotavirus, diarrhoeal diseases, and dengue.
  2. Clinical trials and implementation research, particularly the design, conduct, monitoring, and evaluation of vaccine and public health interventions.
  3. Disease burden estimation and mathematical modelling, including pathogen-specific burden, transmission modelling, and Bayesian evidence synthesis.
  4. Health economic evaluation, including cost-effectiveness analysis, budget impact analysis, and economic evidence for vaccine introduction.
  5. Systematic review and evidence synthesis, particularly for vaccine effectiveness, clinical research, and public health decision-making.
  6. Research capacity strengthening, especially in low- and middle-income countries through training, mentorship, and collaborative research networks.
