Dr. Maryam Khazaee-Pool was born in Nowshahr- a city in Mazandaran province, north of Iran.
Dr. Maryam Khazaee-Pool studied at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Iran. She received her PhD in Health Education & Promotion (Public Health) from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Iran on the Instrument Development regarding Breast Cancer Preventive Behaviours. Currently, she is faculty member, University Research Director, and the head of Health Sciences Research Center at Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences, Iran. In 2021, she was awarded the investigator award from the WHO, eTDR about social innovation and community engagement at low resource settings. Recently, she again was awarded the investigator award from the WHO, eTDR about Modeling the influence of climatic variability and gender with other social stratifies on the morbidity and mortality trends of malaria in Sistan & Baluchestan province, Iran.
