I am currently a post graduate student at UGM studying Masters of Public Health in implementation research of tropical diseases.

Hello and greetings everyone! I am Sandesh Adhikari, a dreamer, thinker, researcher and an activist.

Professionally and academically, I am a public health graduate and have completed Masters in Public Health (MPH) from under WHO-TDR Scholarship. I have worked under different thematic areas of health, nutrition, HIV and AIDS, youth engagement, research etc., targeting diverse audience of different age groups. I have performed diverse roles of public health program coordinator, central information management officer, nutrition coordinator, research coordinator, consultant, academician and strategic partnership coordinator in different programs, projects and academic institutions of Nepal. I also hold immense experience in working closely and persistently with government organizations, non-government organizations, UN agencies, CSOs and other stakeholders at the national and sub-national level. I have successfully led and coordinated different projects involving multi-sector participation and engagement. Moreover, I was also involved in core technical team for the development different national health and nutrition guidelines and manuals.

In global arena, I have had opportunities to represent Nepal and Asia- Pacific in different international platforms like United Nations supported programs in Netherlands, World Universities Debate Championship in Malaysia, South Asian Youth Conference (SAYC) in Nepal and International Adjudication conference in Pakistan.

SHIVA RAJ ADHIKARI is a Professor and head of Economics at Central Department of Economics, Tribhuvan University, Nepal. He received his PhD in economics from Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand in 2010 financial support from WHO/TDR.. Since, then, he has devoted most of his spare time to teach Economics at the Tribhuvan University and to carry out various researches in economics, development economics and policy issues. He has published more than 100 journal articles and book chapters in the areas of economics, urban economics, development issues and public finance.

I am a lecturer in the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Jember.

A Research Scientist at the International Vaccine Institute in Seoul, South Korea with a robust foundation as a public health physician, infectious disease epidemiologist, and Professor of public health. Strong track record in leading large-scale, collaborative, research and public health projects in Sri Lanka and LMICs. A leading public health/research trainer with extensive experience in undergraduate, graduate, and professional training, curriculum, and course development.

Specialties: Epidemiology, Public Health, infectious disease control program. Familiar with both Quantitative dan Qualitative study approach. Strong knowledge of Operational Research and Implementation Research method.
Good knowledge and exposure of TB control program in Indonesia

I am a public health and development researcher with particular interest and experience in implementation science (IS) approach in global health. In 2015 at BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health (JPGSPH) I wrote and received TDR International Postgraduate Training Scheme on Implementation Research. I led the implementation of the project till 2020. At BRAC JPGSPH I also directed International Programme and EU funded International Consortium Project till 2020.

I was awarded USAID Bangladesh Research Fellowship to implement a methodological innovation in public health education in 2015, and INASP UK AuthorAID Mentoring Fellowship 2016. I also received Texas A&M University Scholarship for Young Writer 2014.

I am currently a member of several professional global platforms: WHO TDR Global; Implementation Science for Global Health (ISFORGH); Governance, Ethics and Conflict of Interest Network (GECI-PH), led by American University of Beirut Faculty of Medicine from 2017- till date.

I am a passionate public health professional with an training in speech and language therapy. I have more than 5 years of experience in health sector. In specific, 3.5 years’ experience in public health research. I am simultaneously working in quantitative, qualitative and policy research. I have special focus towards disability inclusion and neglected tropical diseases. I am not only involved in formative research but also collaborate with the government, non-government organisations, civil society organisation and disable peoples’ organisation to voice persons with disabilities rights. My moto is to ensure inclusive health system via different stakeholder collaboration.

Dr. Md Jahangir Alam is a Research Fellow in the Therapeutic Antibodies for Inflammation Lab at the Biomedicine Discovery Institute (BDI), Monash University, Australia. His research aims to bridge the gap between academic research and translational medicine by developing therapeutic monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) for autoimmune diseases, inflammatory disorders, and cancers, and validating the efficacy of these treatments in preclinical disease models using human receptor knock-in mice. In addition, Dr. Alam is pioneering a new combination therapy to treat inflammation associated with autoimmune diseases by combining mAb treatments that selectively target and eliminate disease-causing immune cells with specialised dietary interventions rich in short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs), which modulate the immune system and promote a healthy gut microbiome.

 

Dr. Alam earned his PhD in Immunology from Monash University in Australia. He also holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) and a Master of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Dhaka in Bangladesh. Previously, he served as a Research Officer at icddr,b (formerly the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh), a globally recognised non-profit health research institute, where he contributed to several National Institutes of Health (NIH)-registered clinical trials that investigated the effects of maternal and infant vitamin A supplementation on vaccine immune responses and the composition of gut microbiota in infants.
