DrYves Jacket Nsavyimana

Dr. Yves Jacket Nsavyimana is a physician–scientist, implementation researcher, and digital health innovator with over seven years of clinical and public health experience in Burundi and Sub-Saharan Africa. Trained as a Medical Doctor and specialized in Implementation Science through the prestigious WHO/TDR Postgraduate Training Scheme, he works at the intersection of one health, planetary health, infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), mental health, sexual and reproductive health, and health systems strengthening.

His professional experience spans frontline clinical care in remote settings, operational research within national tuberculosis programs, immunization system diagnosis (GAVI-supported projects), and multidisciplinary health policy research. He currently serves as a Researcher at the Center for Health Policy Analysis and Research and as a peer reviewer for international scientific journals, contributing to the generation of global evidence.

Dr. Nsavyimana is also the CEO and Co-founder of RedGoldLife, an AI-driven digital health startup focused on developing responsible, technology-enabled solutions to improve health systems in low-resource contexts. His work integrates systems thinking, economic evaluation, and responsible AI governance to design scalable, policy-relevant innovations.

A recognized scholar and leader, he has received multiple competitive international awards, including the WHO/TDR Award, Swiss Plexus Scholarship, Africa CDC Scholarship, and the Don Lavoie Fellowship. His research portfolio includes systematic reviews, cohort studies, and policy analyses related to climate change and health systems functioning, vaccine uptake, and community-based health interventions.

Dr. Nsavyimana combines clinical insight, research rigor, entrepreneurial vision, and strategic leadership to advance equitable, evidence-based, and sustainable health system transformation in Africa.
