BIO
Highly versatile and innovative Latin American researcher, with interest in the application of the Humanities to research, and in the visibilization of barriers faced by diverse minority groups, from a critical standpoint.
In 2018, I placed first in the TDR regional call for Latin America and the Caribbean, winning a fully-funded research scholarship. Subsequently, I have continued to win different international awards in relation to innovation and public health.
Experience in transdisciplinary research, in a wide range of research domains, including: cross-cultural studies, well-being studies, social program impact evaluations, large-scale educational evaluations, randomized clinical trials, and quantitative methodological research.
At the international level, I have worked with research teams from different countries, such as Japan, United States, and Colombia. At the national level, in Peru, I have collaborated with research groups in various areas of the country (in the Coast, the Andes, and the Peruvian Amazonia) on public health topics; with professional experience in the private sector, as well as in the public sector, having worked for the Ministry of Health, and for the Ministry of Education. Additionally, I have been a consultant for international cooperation organizations, oriented to the defense of human rights.
My main areas of research are: Public Health (primarily, related to HIV/AIDS, and Tuberculosis); Mental Health; Human Sexuality; and Applied Psychometrics (especially, Rasch Models).
Open to collaborate in research, to make new alliances, and to help whenever I can; especially on topics aimed at improving public health and wellness in my region.
