Medical doctor and Public Health Specialist with demonstrated expertise in the area of health program management, disease surveillance, M&E including control interventions and research, with over 9 years of working experience in the field of public health and epidemiology (Surveillance and Outbreak investigation, Epidemic Preparedness and Response) in African countries especially in Democratic Republic of Congo.
He worked in Corona Virus Disease-19 (COVID-19), Ebola Virus Disease, Cholera, Monkeypox outbreak and Vaccine Preventable diseases. Trainer of Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response (IDSR) to improve the health surveillance system to identify and report potential epidemics and events of public health concern such as epidemics at the national level and / or international to improve rapid and efficient response mechanisms. This is to support the essential skills of the IHR in the context of health security. During Ebola Virus Disease Outbreak Response in North Kivu & Ituri, He worked as WHO Surveillance Team Leader. He is interested in Disease of poverty specially Malaria, Negleted Tropical Diseases and zoonosis transmission and control in Africa area applying one health approach. Thierry is part of several ongoing research projects on Monkeypox in Democratic Republic of Congo as a field supervisor.
Moreover Thierry, as volunteer, supported Expanded Program of immunization in routine immunization campaigns in Mont-Ngafula health zone/Kinshasa. Currently, He is training in Mid-level management of EPI program organized by WHO Africa.
A person qualified in quantitative and qualitative research, He worked as consultant to supervize scientific works and to train health professionals in M&E, Data management (Stata, Epi info, SPSS, R) and GIS (ArcGis).
