Dr. Teerawat Wiwatpanit is a researcher at Thailand's National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology. His training and expertise is in tissue engineering for disease modeling and drug testing. His current focuses are on modeling mosquito-borne infections (malaria and zika virus) and modeling tissue culture platform to study mother-to-child zika transmission in vitro.
