Tafireyi Marukutira

I am a public health physician and infectious diseases epidemiologist with more than 20 years of clinical experience which includes 15 years in public health program management and epidemiology. I have worked in low-middle income countries mainly in clinical care, public health programs (infectious diseases including HIV), and clinical research. I have worked in public/government, private, and non-governmental organization settings including with the Centre for Disease and Control and Prevention (CDC) in Botswana. I have held roles ranging from being a clinician, researcher, public health specialist, program/project leadership, and recently as an epidemiologist and manager. My long term goal is to have a meaningful contribution to major diseases of public health concern, through public health program management, research, and teaching.
