Subhash Pokhrel is a Professor of Health Economics at Brunel University London. He is also the Head of Clinical Sciences Department and Leader of Health Economics Research Group (HERG). His specific research expertise is cost-effectiveness and return on investment (ROI) analyses in public health. He has widely published on behaviour change interventions around smoking cessation, physical activity and breastfeeding. He started his career in health research studying cost-effectiveness of early case detection for visceral leishmaniasis in Nepal. He is the lead author of the 2018 book, “ROI in Public Health Policy: Supporting Decision Making” (Palgrave).
