Prof. dr. S. P.Pani is an Public Health and Epidemiolgy Academician -Researcher, also with Medical Clinical Microbiology Background. Dr. Pani was a member of Steering Committee of Applied Field Research Division and member of several Advisory as Consultative Committees of WHO/ TDR. He has carried out several pioneering research projects under WHO/ TDR , ICMR, India & CRC, Malaysia leading to formulation of strategy for Lymphatic Filariasis, Malaria & Melioidosis. He was the Director, Centre for Research on Infectious diseases and Parasitology. His areas of research include public health, Epidemiology, Clinical studies, Clinical trials, Epidemiological mapping, Socio-economic research, Mathematical models, investigations on aetriopathogenesis (microbiological and immunological studies) etc.
