BIO

I am a PhD student working in School of Biomedical Sciences, University of Western Australia, Perth, Australia. My research projects involved characterization of multi-drug resistant bacteria. Before joining as a PhD student, I was working as a microbiologist and as a faculty (Asst Prof) in the department of Microbiology, Nepal Medical College and teaching hospital. I had been involved in research projects related to antimicrobial resistance in gram negative bacteria in various infections. I am very much interested in molecular epidemiology of drug resistant bacteria and I plan to work further to set up molecular laboratory in Nepal once I finish my studies.
