Doctor of the faculty of Medicine of Reims University (France) with a specialization in immunology of infectious diseases. He also holds a PhD of Immunology (Lyon Claude Bernard I , France). He worked for more than 15 years with members of the International Network Association of the Institute Pasteur (Institut Pasteur, Paris; Institut Pasteur in Dakar (Senegal) and Institut Pasteur de Cayenne, French Guiana) where his main research areas were Leishmaniasis, Tuberculosis and Buruli Ulcer. Since May 2003, he joined the Special Programme for research and training in tropical diseases (TDR) as head of the WHO Immunology Research and Training Center at the University of Lausanne. In 2008, he joined TDR in Geneva a as training manager in the RCS unit. He is also professor at the University of Lausanne since 2003.
