Joined as Medical Officer in Leprosy Control in 1982 in Scheffelin Leprosy Research & Training Centre, Karigiri. I became senior medical officer and then Associate Epidemiologist. I was involved in training of different cadres of medical and non-medical personnel in clinical aspects of leprosy and leprosy control. Served in Damien Foundation India Trust and German Leprosy & TB Relief Association in India.
I have 27 research publications to my credit.
I was consultant to districts and state for implementation of MDT programme. Involved in development of curriculum and training manuals for para-medical and medical personnel for Central Leprosy Division of Government of India. Participated in national level evaluations of leprosy control in India.
Served as international consultant to World Health Organisation to evaluate leprosy control programmes in many Asian countries.
