BIO
I am a Guinean medical doctor by education with a master’s degree in Public Health with a main focus on Reproductive Health. My master’s degree was a scholarship awarded thank to the African Union. This master’s program was based at the Pan African University Life and Earth Science Institute Including Health and Agriculture (PAULESI) of Ibadan in Nigeria. From 2014 to November 2016, I worked as a clinician and had the opportunity to coordinate the clinic of CMP (Clinique Médicale de Proximité). During my internship activities for my master’s program, I worked at a private non-governmental organization (NGO) called Santé Plus as a research assistant where I participated in a study in collaboration with the BNITM funded by the Global Health Protection Program as a quantitative and qualitative data collector on the health seeking behaviour changes observed after Ebola outbreak in Guinea. This NGO focuses on three domains which are research, training and communication. During this study, I participated in a training program jointly organized by Santé Plus and BNITM on Quantitative and Qualitative data collection procedures. After completion of my Master’s program I also worked at "Santé Plus" as a Research Assistant where I benefited of a second training on Qualitative Methods for Research in Public Health. I also assisted the executive director in teaching Research Methodology at the Universities Gamal Abdel Nasser and La Source. I also participated in writing many research proposals such as: National Sentinel Surveillance Survey of HIV and Syphilis among pregnant women receiving prenatal consultation (PNC) in Guinea, 2019, Message Guide for Zoonotic Diseases, Evaluation of the Catholic Relief Services Communication Activities and Community Executing Agencies in Guinea. Recently I submitted my article on "Contraceptive Needs, Availability and Utilization among Married Women in Rural Areas of Hafia, Labé Legion in Guinea". Since February 2021, I work with Sightsavers as the Schisto/STH Deworming Project Officer in Guinea.
