BIO

Mohammad Sharif Hossain is a statistician, clinical trial data analyst and trial monitor. He completed his M.Sc degree in Applied Statistics from the University of Dhaka in 2009. Afterwards he started his career as a Statistical Officer at the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh, also known as icddr,b from July 2010. Currently, he is working as a Research Investigator in different projects that include COVID-19 Drug and Vaccine Trial, Malaria, G6PD study. His main responsibilities are to develop the study design and protocol, analyze the data, and develop different statistical models.

He is a principal investigator of ongoing project on malaria and co-investigator of different ongoing project on COVID-19 drug, diagnostic kit testing projects. He has completed his TDR Clinical Research and Development Fellowship organized by the WHO/TDR from the WorldWide Antimalarial Resistance Network (WWARN), University of Oxford in 2018. He also joined TDR Clinical Research and Development Fellowship (CRDF) alumni meeting and M&E workshop in Cali Colombia supported by the TDR in 2020.
