Marcos Espinola Sánchez is a physician with a strong background and experience in scientific research and innovation, as well as in science and technology management. He has held leadership roles in both the private and public sectors, most notably serving as the Director of Research at the National School of Public Health of Peru. There, he led the development of competencies and research through the establishment of Regional Research Nodes across the country. Currently, he oversees the management of research and innovations in the health professional schools at various campuses of the Universidad Privada del Norte. He has also demonstrated leadership in various roles within the research and innovation system, such as Head of Research and Innovation, Efficiency Management Coordinator, and Medical Researcher, among others. He has actively contributed to academic research training at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Additionally, he has numerous scientific publications in national and international journals indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, and MedLine/PubMed.
