DrMamun Huda

I am a quantitative researcher with strong analytical expertise in epidemiology and public health sciences. Currently, I am working as a Senior Research Fellow at Charles Sturt University, Australia. My current research focuses on global adolescent health and well-being, including the issues of teenage pregnancy and motherhood, teenage mothers' birth and child health outcomes, non-communicable diseases and mental health.

I had more than a decade's professional experience in health research, worked as an Associate Scientist in icddr,b, an international health research organisation based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. At icddr,b, I was involved in implementation research, especially in neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). Apart from this, I also worked in climate change research concerning infectious diseases and heat effect. In 2013, I received an Australian Leadership Award Fellowship to undertake Public Health Leadership Program at Griffith University, Australia. During this time, as principal investigator, I have received grants to support research that I have independently conceptualised. My research has impacted national health policy and resulted in scientific publications in peer-reviewed, internationally recognised journals.
