A well-trained microbiologist with 17 years of experience elucidating host-pathogen relationships in neglected human infectious diseases such as syphilis and cutaneous leishmaniasis. As a member of the Immunology and Cell Biology laboratory at CIDEIM, I have also provided extensive support in writing research proposals, developing scientific publications, and training graduate and undergraduate students. Overall I strive to bring well-rounded expertise in an interactive, supportive team-based setting to effectively address critical scientific questions.
