Joseph Sam is a Health Promotion Officer and a WHO/TDR-trained implementation scientist. As a Research Assistant at the Fred N. Binka School of Public Health, he co-facilitated the 2023 Volta Region Sickle Cell Disease Awareness program that reached over 5,000 school-aged children. His expertise includes qualitative and quantitative research, and data analysis using MAXQDA, Atlas.ti, and SPSS.
Joseph is proficient in multiple languages, which enhances his ability to engage diverse communities. His research interests centre on community-based participatory approaches, health systems strengthening, and evidence-informed health promotion strategies.
