BIO

Henry is epidemiologist currently working on epidemiological analysis of COVID-19 and malaria research data at the EOCRU. He started his research career in 2013 working on field evaluation of diagnosis strategies and epidemiology of several tropical diseases (Tb, NTDs and malaria). During his PhD at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, he evaluated the use of multiplex serological assay, mobile technology-based participatory mapping approach and health facility-based rolling cross-sectional surveys to better understand P. falciparum and P. vivax transmission dynamics in three areas of differing endemicity in Indonesia. He was also involved in a multi-country mathematical modelling study aims to assess malaria surveillance sensitivity and probability of achieving zero malaria infection.

Henry is aiming to develop and validate an integrated serological surveillance strategy to measure and target malaria and other tropical diseases (e.g. dengue, filariasis, STHs, etc.) transmission in Indonesia.

Henry is a fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health and member of Indonseia Young Scientist Academy.
