Medical research scientist at the Swiss Paraplegic Research with research focus on the host-pathogen interactions in the microbiomes of individuals with spinal cord injury. In the characterization of the microbiome, I use omics technology to study the microorganisms and the host response particularly in the initiation of inflammation and the immune system response. I am a Filipino doctor with previous training in biology and has master degrees in public management focusing on health systems and public health focusing on implementation research and a doctor of science degree in health sciences.
