Dorothy is a Research Officer based at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) working on the African Health Observatory Platform on Health Systems and Policies (AHOP) hosted by the WHO Regional Office for Africa (WHO AFRO).
Dorothy is a trained Epidemiologist and is a health systems policy and global health governance expert. Her work focuses on the nexus of health research and policy while building capacity for evidence-informed decision-making within the African region. She is adept at qualitative, quantitative, mixed-methods research and evidence syntheses, while integrating knowledge translation activities in her work for wider audiences. She has worked on regional maternal and child health programmes and research capacity building in Africa with the Consortium for Advanced Research and Training in Africa (CARTA). She is a 2019 recipient of the prestigious World Health Organization/ TDR Special Programme for Research and Training in Implementation Research Fellowship. She has acquired a very broad socio-professional experience from working in varied environments.
