BIO

My name is Charles Conrad Rambung. I live in East Nusa Tenggara Province (NTT), a less developed part of Indonesia, in the capital city, Kupang. I am a pharmacist. I finished Masters of International Public Health-Master of Health Management at School of Public Health and Community Medicine, the University of New South Wales (SPHCM-UNSW) in 2014. An expected career change started in 2015 as I started to work as a health researcher at Badan Perencanaan Pembangunan Penelitian dan Pengembangan Daerah Pemerintah Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur (BAPPELITBANGDA Prov.NTT), a small local government’s research unit. The unit’s main responsibilities are to assist the local government on various issues by providing high quality research output and to inform policy making process, but not limited, on social, health, political, and economic context based on research findings. In fact, BAPPELITBANGDA has unique standing and opportunity to influence local health system practices and responses to local health-related problems. They are reflected in the diversity of research area the unit should cope with and the breadth of expertise the unit has demonstrated.
