BIO

Dr. Birendra Prasad Gupta is a medical virologist with specific training and expertise in epidemiology and Vaccinology. He has done Implementation research fellowship in vaccine clinical trail organized by the WHO-TDR.

He have completed Master of Science in Virology from the National Institute of Virology, India which is a WHO collaborating center for viral reference and research where he learnt the basic techniques used in Virus research. He joined PhD in emerging virology at Virology Unit, Central Department of Biotechnology, Tribhuvan University, Nepal. I had demonstrated outstanding capacity through research publication in national and international journal. He received PhD grant from University Grant Commission, Nepal to carry out Dengue virus research from 2013 to 2016 and international grant; collaborative fellowship and travel grant during my PhD; He performed basic research in Tribhuvan University and further worked carried out in collaboration with Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB), Kerala, India; National Institute of Diagnostic and Vaccine development (NIDVD), Xiamen University, China and Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, Baltimore, Maryland, USA for Hepatitis E virus; LJI, California, USA and National and Regional Reference Laboratory (PAHO/WHO), National Institute of Infectious Diseases-ANLIS "Dr. Malbrán", ARGENTINA for Human Papilomma Virus.
