BIO

I am a Public Health and Social Sciences graduate with technical grounding in participatory action Research and humanitarian crisis projects. I am a doctoral student in international Health and Health Systems at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins University. I completed Master of Public Health degree from the BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health, BRAC University as WHO TDR Fellow. Under the TDR fellowship, I also completed implementation research training. I have been working on humanitarian emergencies, intersectionality, urban vulnerability and marginality with the focus on gender, sexual and reproductive health for the last five (5) years which includes three years’ experience of community-based participatory action research with the most vulnerable communities; Refugees, Internally displaced people, Sexually exploited women, urban informal settlement dwellers and more than two years of implementation experience altogether in the humanitarian crisis of Afghanistan and Rohingyas in Bangladesh. I am an internationally known global health researcher who regularly participates in events related-to global health research, action, activism and advocacy. I hold many leadership positions in global health research forums, consortiums and network groups including Health Systems Global, STAR Scholars Network and the Gender and Covid-19 academic group. My experiences as a public health professional have enabled me to develop a variety of skills over the years such as designing projects, editing and finalizing donor reports, writing protocols, budgeting, team management, good organizational and administrative skills, monitoring project activities, taking part in strategic decisions, accomplishing qualitative and quantitative research studies, conducting statistical analysis, and writing scientific papers.
