BIO

Prof. Ari Probandari is a medical doctor with specific training and expertise in public health. She is a facilitators of WHO/TDR regional training centre in South East Asia Region on implementation research. Her research focuses on implementation research of disease control program, program evaluation and health systems.

Dr. Ari Natalia Probandari, MPH., PhD, currently serves as Head of the Public Health Doctoral Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Sebelas Maret University. She is a doctor and holds a Master of Science in Public Health and PhD from Umea University Sweden. She is also a researcher at the Center for Tropical Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing, Gadjah Mada University Yogyakarta. She is experienced as a WHO technical assistance consultant for the development of a national action plan for the control of sexually transmitted diseases 2015-2019, the Indonesian Ministry of Health for the development of a national action plan for Tuberculosis control, and has been a member of the Tuberculosis Expert Committee since 2011. Currently she is active as Section editor of international journals, i.e. Global Health Action and BMC Health Services Research. She has written several books that have been published, such as Collection of Indonesian Tuberculosis Operational Research Results 2010-2011, Revisiting the Choice: to Involve Hospitals in the Partnership for Tuberculosis Control in Indonesia, Planning and Budgeting for Health Investment at District and City Levels, Annual TB Report 2005: Indonesia. Ministry of Health, Republic of Indonesia. Other publications are scientific articles in international journals such as: Social Science & Medicine, BMC Public Health, BMC Health Services Research, Health Policy and Planning, and Global Health Action.
