MsAina Dhiginina Shipanga

My research interests lie at the intersection of infectious diseases, health systems strengthening, and behavioural public health. I am particularly focused on HIV research, with an emphasis on understanding determinants of treatment outcomes, improving service delivery, and advancing implementation strategies that enhance uptake of evidence-based interventions. I also have a strong interest in neglected tropical diseases, especially in exploring community-based prevention approaches and health-seeking behaviours in resource-limited settings. Additionally, my work is informed by a broader commitment to social and behavioural sciences, where I examine how individual, cultural, and structural factors influence health decisions and outcomes. These interests collectively guide my pursuit of research that is impactful, context-responsive, and aligned with national and global public health priorities.
