    Collapse overview
My name is Miguel Vicco, I am 35 years old and I have been teaching and performing clinical research since I graduated as a physician at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the National University of Rosario (Argentina) in 2008.

As a university lecturer and Internal Medicine specialist, my interest in research was stimulated by my desire to improve the quality of life of the community in which I work. In addition to my medical degree, I also obtained a PhD degree, and two master´s degrees, one in Science, Technology and Society and the other one in Education; gaining competencies in the transfer of knowledge and in the scientific process as a tool for development and social welfare. I applied for the TDR Clinical Research and Development Fellowship because of my interest in conducting clinical research, but also to improve my capacities in research. Prior to the fellowship, I had been involved in some clinical and epidemiological studies as an investigator. However, the TDR Fellowship was an opportunity for me, not just to get insight into developing and conducting clinical trials, but also to establish training and research ties with organizations from different places.

As a result of my career, I assumed the position of Director of Research Development in the Research Department at the Faculty of Medical Sciences and as Health Researcher in the National Council of Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET), dedicating myself to the promotion of clinical research and medical technology.
