I have more than 10 years of public health programs experience and I am currently a PhD (Public Health) candidate at Monash University, Australia. I also offer consultancy work with the International training and Education Center for Health (I-TECH), Botswana. I am also a Research Associate with the Botswana Harvard Partnership. I served as the Clinical Intervention Technical Advisor (2015-2016) for the Botswana Combination Prevention Project (BCPP), a large HIV prevention research project being conducted by CDC Botswana, Harvard University, and the Botswana Ministry of Health. Prior to this position, I was the Technical Deputy Director (2013-2015) for the same project. I am a medical doctor (MBChB) and completed a Masters in Public Health (MPH), a Masters of Philosophy (MPhil) in HIV Management, and my qualification in Obstetrics. In 2011, I was awarded a scholarship by the World Health Organization/Tropical Diseases Research (WHO/TDR) to participate in a year-long career development fellowship in clinical research with a US pharmaceutical company. Prior to joining CDC Botswana, I was the In-Country Principal Investigator for a study evaluating adherence to HAART amongst HIV-infected adolescents, which was conducted by the Botswana-Baylor Children’s Clinical Centre of Excellence.
