    I have fifteen years of medical practice, with extensive experience in clinical practice including management of a wide range of medical conditions including Malaria, HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, hypertension, heart diseases, and diabetes mellitus among others. My clinical experience includes attending to many and different categories of patients currently at China – Uganda Friendship Hospital, Naguru and previously at Mulago National and Teaching Hospital, International Hospital- Kampala, Gulu regional and teaching hospital, KIU-TH, as well as at Kapchorwa district hospital.

    I have been involved in teaching medical students at Makerere Medical School as a post graduate student and as a specialist physician at Gulu University medical school, Kampala International University Teaching Hospital, WC - Bushenyi and currently at Naguru referral hospital

    Modest experience in doing project work has been gained overtime when I work as a central facilitator on Ministry of Health related assignments.

    Having vast experience in project proposal development, and having submitted such proposals to World Health Organization, NUMAT, Italian cooperation, USAID for possible funding. Two research projects (“availability, quality of pharmaceutical care and adherence to antiretroviral drugs in Northern Uganda” and Food insecurity and nutritional status among HIV and TB infected patients in Uganda) were successfully funded.

    Research experience has been gained by engaging in active operational and academic research. Further research experience was gained when I was the principal investigator for the research on “The prevalence of anemia and its influence on treatment outcome in congestive heart failure patients attending Mulago hospital”. Currently I head the Uganda malaria research centre of Ministry of health

    Fully equipped with up-to date knowledge of international health policies regarding malaria, TB, and HIV/AIDS and other communicable diseases as well as non communicable diseases

    Coordinates and collaborates well with a cross section of personalities, including service providers, district-level officials, ministry of health officials and development partners operating at the district, regional, national and international levels

    Young energetic physician, computer literate, with a good command of data analysis and interpretation as well as having excellent communication and report writing skills; and having a strong leaning towards non communicable diseases more especially cardiology.

    Easily interacts with various people and having good interpersonal, leadership and advocacy skills.

    Able to work on my own initiative and as part of a team and having strong commitment to quality, efficiency, timeliness and effectiveness
    Always driven by the zeal to achieve.
